Residential Clients Questions

Is Response I.T. an Internet Service Provider? (ISP)

No, we are not an ISP and do not provide connectivity. However, if you have an ISP and require help getting connected, we can help you set up your network and get started.

If all your lines are busy, how long will it take to hear from someone at Response I.T.?

During regular business hours (8:30am to 5:00pm) we aim to return your call within a fifteen minute response window. If you are a corporate managed services client, the same window applies during all hours.

Can I bring my computer to you or do you have on-site service in my home?

It is entirely up to you whether you want to bring your computer to us at 6 Cataraqui Street or would prefer us to work on your system on-site. We also have remote assistance available for clients at a distance.

How long does it take before I actually have a service technician performing repairs to my computer?

It depends on when you would like your service call to take place. All our service calls are booked on a first come first served process. Many can take place the same day that you call, as we have sufficient service technicians to service our clientele.

Do I need to bring in my power cord, monitor and keyboard in if I bring my computer in for service?

We have all the equipment needed to service your desktop computer; all you need to bring in is your tower.

*Note: If you are bringing a laptop a power cord will be necessary.

How will I know it is a Response I.T. service technician coming to my door?

All our service technicians have uniforms and paperwork that directly corresponds to your specific computer information and the problems you are having with it. Ask them about it when they arrive to ensure it is them.

How can I pay for my service call?

We accept cash, credit card, debit and personal cheques for all transactions.

Do I get a recording or a live voice when I call for service at Response I.T.?

At Response I.T. you will always get a live voice answer during business hours (8:30am to 5:00pm) unless all lines are busy.

Can my office get service even if we don’t have an existing agreement with your firm?

Response I.T. welcomes new clients and you could be eligible for first-time specials. Call us today to find out more.

What kind of response time can I expect?

At Response I.T. we strive to deliver service within a two hour window in emergencies. Clients with a managed services agreement have priority in our service list response times. Ask us how easy it is for you to get priority service!

How intrusive is a service call to my employees?

Response I.T. is very discrete while on site and we understand how office work flow needs to be maintained. We have years of experience working within many different environments from production plants to legal office space. Our goal is to provide repairs as quickly and efficiently as possible with as little disruption as possible.


Can I buy computers, printers, software and other hardware from Response I.T.?
